Asisat Oshoala scores 17th league goal as Barcelona thrash Sporting Huelva 7-0

- Asisat Oshoala found the back of the net for the 17th time in the league in Barcelona's 7-0 demolition of Sporting Huelva

- The four-time African Footballer of the Year came in as a second half substitute to score the last two goals of the encounter

- Jenni Hermoso, Caroline Hansen, Lieke Martens, and Alexia Putellas also got their names on the scoresheet

Asisat Oshoala joined her Barcelona teammates on rampage as they thrashed Sporting Huelva 7-0 in a league match played at the Johan Cruyff Stadium.

Jenni Hermoso and Oshoala both scored a brace while Caroline Hansen, Lieke Martens, and Alexia Putellas were also on the scoresheet.

Barcelona did not the let the Spanish Cup victory get the better of them as they got off and running in the fourth minute through Hansen who started and finished a move by herself to make it 1-0.

The second was a well-worked team effort as Hermoso headed home a cross from Martens in the 24th minute to make it 2-0.

Hermoso completed her brace in the 58th minute and made it 3-0 after beating the offside trap to meet a pass from Ana-Maria Crnogorcevic and put it past the goalkeeper.

Marten deservedly got her goal in the 71st minute with a headed assist from Putellas as she slammed the ball home to make it 4-0.

Two minutes later, Putellas got her goal from a spot-kick to make in 5-0 in the 74th minute and three minutes later she was substituted for Nigerian striker Oshoala.

The current African Women's Footballer of the Year then got her name on the scoresheet in the 88th minute with a smart shot from outside of the 18-yard box to make it 6-0.

Oshoala rounded off scoring in the first minute of injury time as she was on hand to tap in from close range to complete the 7-0 demolition.

With the result, Barcelona are now nine points clear at the top of the table as they prepare for a trip to Logrono for their next league match.
