Tottenham have been dealt with injury blow after club's captain and hitman, Harry Kane, got injured and has been officially ruled out of action till April.

Kane was lined up for action during Spurs' 1-0 Premier League defeat to Southampton at St Mary's last week, but was immediately subbed after being hit with hamstring injury.

It has now been officially confirmed that Jose Mourinho's side would miss the service of the talisman upfront who will undergo surgery, capable of ruling him out till April.

“Following ongoing assessment by our medical staff over the past week, we can confirm that Harry Kane will undergo surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his left hamstring," a statement from Tottenham said.

“The striker suffered the injury during our Premier League fixture against Southampton last week and specialists have advised surgery after further review of the injury.

“The decision to undergo surgery is not expected to impact the timeframe that the England captain will be sidelined, with the expectation that he will return to training in April.”

Tottenham are 6th on the Premier League standing, six points behind bitter rivals Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Super Eagles and Leicester star, Wilfred Ndidi, has been ruled out of pitch action till February with the ace midfielder set to undergo minor surgery.

Ndidi was a surprise omission in the Foxes squad that faced Aston Villa on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg at King Power Stadium.
