Arkadiusz Milik: Man United in desperate move for £60m-rated Serie A striker

Arkadiusz Milik has become a summer target for Premier League giants Manchester United.

The Poland international is believed to have a buy-out clause of £60million with a year left on his contract in Napoli.

And it is understood Milik has begun negotiations with Serie A club for a contract extension which put Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in position to discuss a possible move for the Polish striker.

The Red Devils have only managed to score 32 goals in 21 Premier League matches this season which is the lowest among the top six.

Manchester City recently humiliated their rivals in a first leg Carabao Cup semi-final first leg clash at Old Trafford by 3-1.

Marcus Rashford who has 12 goals in 17 matches can combine with Milik who also notched up ten goals in 12 games in the Serie A for Napoli.

But it would take until the summer for United to get hold of their striker who will likely not switch to England in January.

Man United have also been linked with Leicester City star James Maddison for a possible summer move.

And the Red Devils are hoping Maddison's teammate former teammate Harry Maguire will be able to persuade him to play at Old Trafford next season.

But Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has repeatedly stated that the former Norwich City will not be leaving the King Power Stadium in January.

Meanwhile, had earlier reported that Kylian Mbappe has been named the most valuable player in the world as the youngster remains one of the most sought after players in Europe.
