Frank Lampard: Chelsea boss set to offload Alonso, 5 other stars in January

- Frank Lampard has reportedly identified six top stars who could leave Stamford Bridge in January

- The left-back duo Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri may be shown the way out by the new boss

- Other top stars who may leave Chelsea soon include, Batshuayi, Pedro, Olivier Giroud and Ross Barkley

Frank Lampard could possibly show the exit door to at least six top players as he takes a huge leap towards rebuilding the Blues squad into a top formidable Premier League side.

Frankie began his debut season as Chelsea boss, running the club with young stars from academy due to the club's inability to add to their array of stars, following FIFA two-transfer window ban.

Chelsea are now set to reinforce their squad after their ban was recently halved by CAC, with Lampard targeting a couple of stars including Jadon Sancho and Timo Werner during the January market.

And according to Sky sport's Dharmesh Sheth, the left-back duo of Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri may be shown the way out of Stamford Bridge with Lampard considering bringing in David Alaba into their place.

Similarly, the duo of Ross Barkley and Pedro may also be axed out in the January market to open way for new young stars.

“The left-back area is one Chelsea and Frank Lampard haven’t cracked yet,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.

“Both Emerson and Marcos Alonso have played this season but neither has been able to nail down that position. Add to that Pedro’s contract is up in the summer and he’s started only four times in the league this season.

''And then midfielder Ross Barkley, remember him? He hasn’t actually played since October. Could he be another one that’s potentially on the move?

Under-used stars Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi are also on Chelsea's blacklist having been partially deemed surplus by the Blues boss.
