Chinese club Guangzhou have named Arsenal and Barcelona legend Giovanni van Bronckhorst as their new coach thereby ending his association with Manchester City.
After stepping down as Feyenoord boss at the end of last season, Giovanni van Bronckhorst took up a role at the Etihad stadium.
Before joining Manchester City, the 44-year-old wad expected to go on a year sabbatical, but he refused to go on break and instead returned to management.
"I have been to Manchester a number of times and travel a lot.
"I see new things, experience new things and continue to develop. For me, that is very beautiful at the moment.
"Ultimately, I want to be a head coach again. That is the best thing for me. This is a great interim solution,''. Giovanni van Bronckhorst explained.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are currently occupying third position on the Premier League standings with 44 points after 21 games played this season.
