Lionel Messi's father Jorge was involved in a serious accident in Argentina as his BMW car hit a biker who was quickly rushed to the hospital.
The 24-year-man was left briefly unconscious after the collision at the crossroads in Messi's native home of Rosario.
The police drove Messi's father's car to a nearby station to check his vehicle documents while an ambulance took the unnamed man to a nearby hospital.

It is understood Jorge had to be breath-tested if he had taken any substance or alcohol before he was allowed to leave.
The 61-year-old father of the Barcelona superstar was driving his BMW M3 around 8pm on Thursday, April 4, when he had the collision with the biker.
Local reports from Argentina said the motorcyclist was left unconscious after being knocked to the ground but his injuries were not serious after being examined by the medics.

The incident is not expected to result in court action because the crossroads where the collision occurred is described as an accident blackspot
In that area, there are two traffic signs posts with the word ‘stop’ on them to avoid accidents.
It was not immediately clear who was at fault and neither Messi or his dad have yet made any statement.
Jorge was found guilty of tax fraud in a Spanish court in 2016 alongside his son, Messi and their jail sentences were later reduced to fines.

The 35-year-old received a two-and-a-half year prison sentence on Thursday, August 16, but he will undertake community service instead of going to jail.
