Sergio Aguero will miss Manchester City's home clash with Cardiff City in the Premier League on Wednesday, April 3.

The current highest goal scorer in the English topflight division limped off in the 57th minute of his side's 2-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Argentine international is also a doubt for City's FA Cup semi-final match against Brighton on Saturday, April 6.

Pep Guardiola said: "He didn't train the last two days and tomorrow is not able."

And the Spanish manager cast doubt over Aguero's availability for the weekend.

He added: "Maybe [he'll be ready for] Saturday, but we will see his evolution in the next days."

But Guardiola will be desperate to have his star striker back for their Champions League clash against Spurs next Tuesday.

City are chasing four trophies this season, with the Champions League, league and FA Cup up for grabs after winning the Carabao Cup.

Guardiola said his players are "excited" about what they can achieve but urged them not to get carried away.

He said: "Everyone is excited about the next weeks.

"But we also know we can lose everything.

"It's amazing to have this opportunity, to be there.

"Beating Cardiff is our main target, then we go to Wembley and we want to try to win a trophy I have never won."

Meanwhile, had earlier reported that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Sergio Aguero suffered a knock during his side's 2-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
