A much-changed Manchester United finished top of Group H after losing 2-1 to La Liga side, Valencia, in their last group match played at Estadio Mastella on Wednesday night, December 12.

United boss, Jose Mourinho made eight changes to the side which beat Fulham at the weekend, with Andreas Pereira and Paul Pogba both starting in midfield.

Speaking after the game with a trip to Anfield over the weekend in mind, Mourinho said there was nothing at all he had learned from the game.

"I didn't learn anything at all. Nothing surprised me at all," the United boss said.

"Before the game I told the layers if we win and Juve win, we did our job. If we don't win and Juve don't win we can blame ourselves," he added.
