Rangnick was recently named United boss to take over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who was shown the door after a string of poor results.

ESPN reports the German has already recommended four signings he wants the Red Devils to make ahead of the winter and summer transfer windows.

According to the publication, it is completely understandable the tactician is looking to bolster his squad considering United's turbulent start to the season.

Express UK claims there is every chance Rangnick will be keen to reinforce the midfield and attack departments, with Erling Haaland top on the wish list.

Haaland has been the subject of transfer speculation and has previously been linked with a move to Old Trafford.

However, they will face stiff competition from rivals Chelsea, Man City, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, who are also keen to sign the Dortmund marksman.

Jude Bellingham is the other player United could push to sign despite missing out on him to Dortmund.

The Englishman has managed to establish himself as one of the most sought young players in Europe.

Kalvin Phillips and Amadou Haidara are believed to be on the radar of the Red Devils, with the former also wanted by Liverpool.

On his part, Haidara represents the likeliest transfer that could happen, with the RB Leipzig star enjoying a strong relationship with Rangnick.

Despite the availability of Scott McTominay, Fred, Paul Pogba, and Nemanja Matic, the need to sign a more versatile midfielder has never been more obvious than now.

Haidara is understood to be available for just £33million owing to a release clause in his Leipzig deal.

Cavani agrees to join Barca

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported veteran Man United striker Edinson Cavani could be on his way out of the club after reportedly agreeing to join Barcelona.

Cavani's current deal with Man United is set to expire at the end of the season and is unlikely to renew the contract as he has an undying desire of playing in Spain.

Reports suggest Barcelona could be his next destination, with the La Liga giants interested in him.
