Carrick faults referee’s decision to hand Chelsea penalty against Man Utd

Meanwhile, Manchester United boss Michael Carrick was not impressed over the referee’s decision to award Chelsea a penalty in their 1-1 draw with the Blues at the Stamford Bridge.

With Chelsea missing a handful of chances in the first half, the second half was more of an open contest as the Red Devils got their noses in front following a huge error from Jorginho.

The Italian midfielder who was the last man in defence controlled the ball into Jadon Sancho's path as the Englishman had to run 30-yards before applying the finish to make it 1-0.

Jorginho made amends for his error as he converted his spot-kick in the 69th minute to make it 1-1 after referee signaled a penalty in a controversial manner.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was penalised for kicking Thiago Silva while trying to clear the ball, but replays show referee Anthony Taylor made the right decision which infuriated Carrick.
