Pascal Ferre who is France Football Editor has explained that Cristiano Ronaldo's biggest ambition in his glorious career so far is to win more Ballon d'Or awards than Messi.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have been involved in rivalry for more than ten years, and these players have between them 11 Ballon d'Or awards.

With the 2021 Ballon d'Or gala night around the corner, it has been claimed that Lionel Messi is the favourite to win it again which would be his 7th.

Cristiano Ronaldo first won his Ballon d'Or award at Manchester United before adding four more at Real Madrid making it five altogether while Lionel Messi has won it six times.

According to the report on GOAL and New York Times, Pascal Ferre explained that Cristiano Ronaldo once told him his ambition.

"Ronaldo has only one ambition and that is to retire with more Ballon d'Or awards than Messi. I know because he has told me."
