Mohamed Salah is now the leading African scorer in the Premier League breaking Didier Drogba's feat with Chelsea in almost ten years.
The Liverpool striker now has 108 goals to the former Chelsea forward's 105 in the English top-flight division.
And the Egyptian does not seem like stopping any moment as he still chasing down Ivorian's record for the most assists (54).
The 29-year is still aiming to usurp Drogba's remarkable 44 goals in the Champions League as he is just 13 goals shy of the record.
Drogba was asked about Salah and his record-stealing exploits, Drogba quipped to Mehwar TV:
“If he continues he’s going to destroy all my records. I want to cry."
"What I’ve seen during training, and all his team-mates will tell you, the quality was there. He just needed time on the pitch to show his talent and his quality.
"He was sad not to contribute, but he was always good. When you have this kind of intelligence it’s just a matter of time before you blow up."
Salah's future at Liverpool
In a recent interview, Salah boldly declared he wanted to end his career at Liverpool.
The interview came at a time when rumours were rife that the Egyptian would possibly leave for Barcelona at the end of his current deal.
But speaking to Sky Sports, Salah said:
"If you ask me, I would love to stay until the last day of my football career, but I can't say much about that - it's not in my hands."
