Liverpool ace Mohammed Salah is certainly adored beyond Merseyside and England, and this was proven on Friday, November 12.

Two Angolan fans had to be escorted outside the pitch after risking it all to mob the Liverpool superstar during a World Cup qualifier clash involving Egypt and Angola.

The pitch invaders managed to give Salah a quick embrace before eventually being guided back to the stands in the entertaining clash that ended in a 2-2 draw.

Full marks have to be given to Salah, as the forward decided to embrace the two super fans, rather than snub them.

Pictures of the incident show that the fans made three attempts to get to Salah throughout the game before finally succeeding.

They were third-time lucky, however and managed to get pictures with the Liverpool ace, eventually.

Salah played the full 90 minutes for his country in the qualifier and was integral in leading the team to a comeback from two goals down.

Match summary in the World Cup qualifier

Egypt got off to the worst possible start after going down 2-0 within the first 36 minutes.

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny however halved the deficit at the stroke of halftime with the assist coming from none other than Salah.

Akram Tawfik then levelled matters in the 56th minute and the game eventually ended in a 2-2 draw.

The draw ensured Egypt continued to dominate Group F with 11 points from five outings.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s Gabon follow closely in second with seven points, and the top two nations in the group will clash in their final match on November 16.

Cristiano gifts pitch invader his shirt

This was not the only high profile pitch invading incident this week.

During the 0-0 draw involving Portugal and Ireland, a young pitch invader got lucky as she was gifted a shirt by none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite stewards being close by, the young fan managed to get to the Portugal star and hug him, with Ronaldo proceeding to gift her his matchday shirt.
