Odion Ighalo and Victor Osimhen have finally linked up in the Super Eagles for the first time in two years in which they exchanged the jerseys of their clubs.

Victor Osimhen who plays for Italian giants Napoli has been leading the attack for the Super Eagles after Odion Ighalo decided to step aside after the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

And since Victor Osimhen got the chance to be leading the Super Eagles attack, the former Lille star has been impressive helping Nigeria to qualify for the next Nations Cup.

The Nigerian Football Federation and the Super Eagles coaching crew then decided to bring back Odion Ighalo to the team for the two crucial games against Liberia and Cape Verde.

When did Odion Ighalo arrived the Super Eagles camp?

Odion Ighalo who plays in Saudi Arabia arrived the Super Eagles camp in Morocco on Thursday afternoon, November 11, and also took part in the team's training in the evening.

In a photo posted on social media, Odion Ighalo and Victor Osimhen decided to exchange shirts of their clubs as part of love before the game on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Gernot Rohr will have the final decision on who to start the game against Liberia between Odion Ighalo and Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen makes big statement about the return of Odion Ighalo to Super Eagles

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Victor Osimhen finally reacted to the return of former Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo to the Super Eagles ahead of Nigeria's World Cup qualifier against Liberia in Morocco.

Before Odion Ighalo was named among the players for the coming qualifiers, the president of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick made it clear that the experience of the former Watford man is still needed in the team.

Taiwo Awoniyi who has been getting the goals for Union Berlin in the German Bundesliga was however snubbed by Gernot Rohr for Odion Ighalo to make his return to the Super Eagles.

Speaking with the NFF TV on the development of Odion Ighalo returning to Super Eagles after two years, Victor Osimhen who has been leading the attack explained that it is a welcome one.
