Spanish football coach Xavi has enjoined those in charge of Al-Sadd to allow him to make a return to La Liga giants this time around as coach following the sacking of Ronald Koeman.

Ronald Koeman was recently shown the exit doors at the Camp Nou due to the club's poor performance so far this season in all competitions.

Before the start of the ongoing La Liga season, Lionel Messi left Barcelona after the club's failure to register him and moved to Paris Saint-Germain where he has been struggling for from.

What has been happening to Barcelona after Messi's exit?

Lionel Messi is known to be a wonderful footballer with high sense of scoring goals, but Ronald Koeman was unable to cope with his departure which masterminded his sacking.

Before becoming a professional coach, Xavi played with Lionel Messi at Barcelona and they both won Champions League and La Liga titles together.

According to the report on GOAL and Marca, Xavi explained that it is time for him to return to Barcelona and help the club where he made his name in football.

Xavi's comment on Barcelona possible return

"I've been talking to Barca for days, it's done.
"But now it depends on the conversations between clubs, they need to reach an agreement. Barca is coming to talk, we are all eager and excited. We'll see if it ends up being done.
"I really want to go home. I hope it happens. I have a contract and now the clubs have to negotiate. They already know my position."

Earlier, YEN.com.gh had reported how Barcelona finally won their first match under caretaker manager Sergi following their slim 1-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv.

The match intense game produced few chances but it was Ansu Fati that scored the vital goal that gave his side all three points.

Mykola Shaparenko's shot went agonizingly after catching the Barca defence unawares early minutes in the game.

The Spanish giants thought they won a penalty after Fati was adjudged to have been fouled inside the box but after a look at the VAR, the decision was cancelled.

The 19-year-old also had his moment in the game but he could not keep his shot down after finding some openings in Dynamo's defence.
