Things went sour on Sunday evening, October 24, as Manchester United with Cristiano Ronaldo suffered embarrassing 5-0 defeat against super Liverpool in which Mohamed Salah scored thrice.

Coming from behind in their last game to beat Atalanta at Old Trafford, the expectation of Manchester United fans was their players to beat Liverpool on Sunday, but they met a more determined side.

Liverpool FC started the game like war in the first half firing in all cylinders and they waited until the 5th minute before scoring the first goal through Naby Keita who got an assist from Salah.

After conceding the first goal, Old Trafford fans went into total silence before Diogo Jota added to their pains by netting the second goal for Liverpool in the 13th minute.

Manchester United tried all their best to come back into this game with Cristiano Ronaldo even getting a yellow card, but they Old Trafford players found it hard to face Liverpool stars.

Mohamed Salah scored his third goal for Liverpool in the 50th minute and things turned worst for Manchester United when Paul Pogba got red card in the 60th minute.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Liverpool ace Mohammed Salah has confirmed he wants to stay at Liverpool, going to the lengths of declaring he wants to stay with the Reds “until my last day of football”.

There has been mild speculation on Salah’s future, especially after it emerged he was in contract talks with the Merseyside outfit.

While his current deal expires at the end of the 2022-23 season, Salah is keen on a new deal worth a staggering £500k-a-week.

The former Chelsea star has had an outstanding season so far, scoring 15 goals in 12 games in all competitions.
