United are due to host their arch-rivals at Old Trafford in what promises to be a tough Premier League meeting.

The Red Devils head into the clash on the back of a 3-2 morale-boosting win over Atalanta in the Champions League.

However, before then, the side had picked just two wins in seven matches, winning one of their last four Premier League matches.

Solskjaer has now warned his wards they must bring the disappointing run of results to a halt or they risk being left behind in the Premier League title race.

What Solskjaer said

Speaking ahead of the Liverpool meeting, the Norwegian tactician admitted his team has not been good enough lately, but insisted it is about time they pushed to bounce back to winning ways.

"We’ve lost points recently that we’re not happy with. We have to take it from here and really, really get going," Solskjaer said as quoted by Metro UK.
"There is no time to lose because even though it’s a long season, the teams we are competing against are not going to give you too many options to catch them," he added.

United are currently placed sixth on the Premier League standings with 14 points and a win over Liverpool could see them break into the top four once again.

Liverpool, on the other hand, are third on the log with 18 points and a win at Old Trafford will see them pip Man City into second place.

It is understood that the Portuguese superstar did not take things easy when the players got into the dressing room after trailing by 2-0.

Mario Pasalic had silenced the fans at Old Trafford in the 15th minute before Merih Demiral scored the second eight minutes later from a corner kick.
