Giorgio Chiellini who is the captain of Italian giants Juventus has blamed Cristiano Ronaldo's departure for their current unimpressive performance this season claiming that the Portugal international should have left earlier.

Despite having one more year on his contract at Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo decided to leave the Old Lady for a stunning return to Manchester United where he has been impressive since arrival.

Spending three years at Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo won the Serie A title two times, but the former Real Madrid star failed to win the Champions League that the club bought him for.

Cristiano Ronaldo even played for Juventus at the start of this season before leaving the Italian side featuring in the game against Udinese which ended 2-2.

According to the report on ESPN and DAZN, Giorgio stated clearly that Cristiano Ronaldo's early departure at the start of the season destroyed their plans.

Giorgio Chiellini's comment

"Cristiano Ronaldo left on Aug. 28. This creates a shock and I think we paid him in terms of points in the start of the season.
"It would have been better had Ronaldo left on Aug. 1 as we would have prepared ourselves and we would have arrived ready for the start of the campaign."
