Jose Mourinho has claimed that Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt were better than his second team following Roma's embarrassing 6-1 defeat in the European Conference League on Thursday night.

Roma were 2-1 down in the first half with their fans thinking that they would come back stronger in the second half, but the hosts scored 4 more goals to condemn the Italian side to a defeat.

This will be Jose Mourinho's highest loss since he was appointed as the coach of Roma, and the former Manchester United and Chelsea gaffer is not happy about the development.

Jose Mourinho's reaction

"They have more quality than us. Their first team is a much better team than our second team.
"It's my mistake. I wanted to rest players after the game against Juventus and before the game against Napoli.
"I made these decisions, and in the end, they are better players than my players. They are a better team than my team.
"Of course, the 6-1 could be five, could be seven, could be eight.
"The game went in a direction where you lose complete control of emotions, of everything. The reality of the game is that the best team won with the best players.''

Carles Perez scored Roma's only goal of the game from close range after tapping the ball into the back of the net to reduce his side's deficit in the 28th minute.

Erik Botheim got his name on the scores sheet for the second time in the game in the 52nd minute as Ola Solbakken made it 4-1 in the 71st minute.
