  • Anthony Joshua seems to be working with a new trainer as the British boxer is set to revive his boxing career
  • The two-time world heavyweight champion was defeated by Ukrainian fighter Oleksandr Usyk back in September
  • Reports suggest that AJ has met with a high-profile trainer in the United States and the footage of them working together has hit the internet

British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua is reportedly making efforts to revive his career after his surprise loss to Ukrainian fighter Oleksandr Usyk, talkSPORT reports.

It appears the two-time world champion has ditched his longtime coach Rob McCracken despite their game plan coming in for plenty of criticism in defeat by the Ukrainian.

It was gathered that the one-time Olympic champion has met with a high-profile trainer in the United States and the footage of them working together has surfaced online.

Reports claim Ronnie Shields of Jermall Charlo who coached the likes of Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and Arturo Gatti, revealed that 'team AJ reached out'.

AJ was captured in the gym chatting to Shields and working out with a mask on.

Shields told Thaiboxingvoice via Daily Mail:

“They reached out to me and they asked if I would be interested in taking a look at AJ and that he wanted to come down to Texas and see if things would work out between him and I.
‘I said, "No problem, I would love to see if we had a connection together".'

Joshua mocked over old post against Tyson Fury

Meanwhile, a social media post by Anthony Joshua back in 2017 is currently being ripped up following Tyson Fury’s sensational win over Deontay Wilder in an intense WBC title bout on Saturday.

The old post is circulating on the internet yet again as AJ faced backlash from fans, as well as Fury, after he appeared to have delayed his unification bout with then WBC champion Deontay Wilder or WBO champion Joseph Parker.

The Gypsy King blasted fellow Briton claiming he had struggled to fight Carlos Takam which he won via 10th-round TKO to retain his heavyweight titles, and Joshua clearly didn’t take his comments.

Tyson Fury claims Joe Joyce is the best out there

Legit.ng earlier reported that reigning WBC champion Tyson Fury has ignored Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua and others after claiming that Joe Joyce is the 'best one out there'.

The Gypsy King defended his title successfully after knocking out Deontay Wilder for the second time on a row earlier this month.

Both heavyweights endured a long encounter but it was the Briton who emerged victorious in the end while he took home his belt.
