  • Cristiano Ronaldo who has so far scored 785 career goals is recognised by FIFA as the second top scorer of all time
  • Austrian and Czech legend Josef Biscan who scored 805 career goals is still the all-time record goal scorer in football

Cristiano Ronaldo smashed the international goal’s record following his brace in Portugal’s 2-1 win over Ireland in the World Cup qualifiers taking his tally to 111, Mirror reports.

Ronaldo's record-breaking moment came in the 89th minute as he scored Portugal's equalizer before going ahead to grab the winner in the 96th minute of the tie.

Both goals see Ronaldo take his tally to 111 international goals, two goals more than Iranian legend Ali Daei.

They join the likes of Brazilian legends Pele and Romario on the top scorer’s chart which Josef Biscan is No.1 with 805 goals, talkSPORT reports.
