Cristiano Ronaldo has penned emotional letter to Juventus fans and all the players and staff of the Italian giants following his departure at Turin after three years and and has returned to Manchester United.

The Portugal international showed the sign that he wanted to leave Juventus before their last game when has asked to be put on the bench.

Ronaldo was initially linked with a move to Manchester City and the world were all thinking that the Portuguese would move to the Etihad stadium.

But in a late drama, Manchester United announced that they have agreed to resign Cristiano Ronaldo whom they sold in world record deal years back to Real Madrid.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner actually made his name at Manchester United and he is not expected to have issues returning to the side where he won his first Champions League title.

According to the official statement by Cristiano Ronaldo, the former Real Madrid star thanked everyone at Juventus for the time spent together.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.

It has now been confirmed that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has made a U-turn about joining United's city rivals Man City.

The 36-year-old trained with his Juventus teammates for the last time before leaving to Lisbon on his private jet on Friday, August 27, 2020.

The stage is now set for Ronaldo to make a sensational return to the Theatre of Dreams where he left 11 years ago to join Real Madrid.

Ronaldo won three Premier League titles during his six-year spell at Old Trafford as well as the FA Cup, two League Cups and the Champions League.
