Kevin De Bruyne has scooped the 2020-21 Premier League Player of the Year Award ahead Man City teammate Rueben Dias and Tottenham's Harry Kane, Sport Bible.

The Belgian midfield maestro also won the award during the 2019-20 season despite the Citizens finishing 18 points behind leaders Liverpool.

The 29-year-old scored six league goals as his fellow Premier League players voted him as the best for the second consecutive campaign.

Dias on the other hand, won the Football Writer's Award but the league's top scorer with the highest assist failed to land another individual accolade.

City's 19-year-old Phil Foden also won the Young Player of as Pep Guardiola's men dominated the English topflight division to win the league with a few games left to spare.

De Bruyne will be the third player after Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo to scoop the award in consecutive seasons.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola emerges as the Premier League manager for the third time in his career.

The Spanish-born tactician claimed the prestigious prize after guiding the Citizens to win the English top-flight title at the end of the 2020-21 season.

This is also the third time the Spaniard will be winning the EPL since he became City boss in the summer of 2016.

Legit.ng also reported that Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias has been named Premier League player of the 2020-21 season.

The 24-year-old Portuguese became an instant success after joining the Etihad Stadium outfit from Benfica last September in a deal worth £61.64 million.

He beats competition from Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, Aston Villa's Jack Grealish, West Ham's Tomas Soucek, Chelsea's Mason Mount, and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah to the award after an outstanding debut season in England.
