Latest reports from the Stamford Bridge claim that the club’s director Marina Granovskaia is preparing to do lots of business in the transfer window.
Following their qualification for next season’s Champions League, the Blues who have also set their eyes on next season’s Premier League title will be very busy this summer.
They however need to free up some players in order to get funds for incoming deals with stars like Victor Moses, Marco van Ginkel, Izzy Brown departing for good.
Manager Thomas Tuckel as well as players like Olivier Giroud and Thiago Silva have all been rewarded with new contracts at the London club.
Other stars that have been linked with an exit from the club include Fikayo Tomori, Hakim Ziyech as it is expected that owner Roman Abramovich will release funds.
With the world’s attention now focused on Euro 2020 and Copa America, it is reported that Chelsea are already doing underground transfer business.
Chelsea are said to be 'eyeing a move' for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez with Tuchel looking to boost his options in midfield before the new season.
Having also been linked to Liverpool, the Spain international won the title under Diego Simeone this season and could now eye a fresh challenge in England.
Manchester United missed a glorious opportunity to sign Niguez last year as the Spaniard has been widely been linked with a switch to the Red Devils for more than a year.
The defensive midfielder had a buyout clause of £142million but Atletico are willing to accept a lower fee following the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic which has seen the player’s value drop significantly.
