Legendary Premier League manager Arsene Wenger has singled out N'Golo Kante for praise, claiming the Chelsea star is currently Europe's best all-round midfielder.
Kante has received accolades from all quarters in recent weeks, all thanks to his outstanding end to the season for the Blues.
The midfielder played a central role in Chelsea's Champions League glory on Saturday, May 29, in Porto, picking the Man of the Match award.
The Frenchman also picked the award in both legs of the competition in the semi against Real Madrid.
Kante's commanding performances on Chelsea's route to European glory have seen sustained calls from fans and pundits to have him win this year's Ballon d'Or.
Wenger is now the latest influential football figure to shower the ex-Leicester star with praises, with the legendary tactician observing the midfielder has developed his game to add more attacking strings to it.
"N’Golo Kante has added something to his game. Before he won the ball and he made a good pass, he was an exceptional ball winner. I say an exceptional ball-winner because he wins decisive balls without making a foul," Metro UK quoted Wenger saying.
And when asked to name the player from the France national team to watch, Wenger had no problem singling out Kante who he described as "a complete midfield package."
"He is now capable of running with the ball and making a good pass in the final third," he said.
"That’s why I am certain he is the best all-round midfielder in Europe at the moment," he added.
The Chelsea midfielder's former teammate Felipe Saad with French second division side Caen claimed that the 30-year-old melted hearts when he was invited to his birthday party.
It was Kante's first time attending a birthday party and the Frenchman did not know what to buy for the celebrant.
