Wycombe Wanderers striker, Adebayo Akinfenwa, has stylishly aimed a dig at the men of the Nigerian Police Force during his visit to the country.

The 39-year-old bulky attacker shared a picture of himself and three armed security men on his official Instagram page with over 1.3 million followers.

Dressed in an off-white colour short and a black armless top with a face cap and a sunshade, the forward wore a stern look while posing for photographs.

And he accompanied his post on the social media platform with the message 'Who’s protecting who' with different hashtags to support his cryptic message.

Akinfenwa helped The Chairboys gained promotion to the EFL Championship at the end of the 2019-20 season. However, their debut season in the English second-tier competition as they finished 22nd on the log and will be back in the League One in the 2021-22 campaign.

The striker scored once in 33 league appearances for the Adams Park Stadium outfit while they finished with 43 points after 46 games.

Meanwhile, he will be club-less at the end of this month as the club is unlikely to hand him an extension having spent five seasons with them.

He scored 54 goals and 38 assists in 254 appearances in all competitions during his reign at the club while lifting the EFL League One play-offs trophy in 2020. He also has several other individual and team glories.

Adebayo Akinfenwa opens up on his retirement plans

Legit.ng earlier reported that Adebayo Akinfenwa who is regarded as the strongest footballer on earth has made it clear that he is considering playing football for the next two years before he can hang his boots.

Despite being disturbed by a nagging knee problem, Akinfewa who will be turning 39 in the month of May this year explained that he wants to hit 40 years before quitting the round leather game.

Akinfenwa who is the father to boys Ajani, 11, Jai, 10, five-year-old Jaylan and daughters Kamira, 13, and eight-year-old Kaliyah stated that he wants to continue playing so as for him to be able to cater for his children.
