Barcelona have sealed a five-year deal for out-of-contract Manchester City centre-back Eric Garcia this summer.
The 20-year-old will have a staggering £343 million inserted in his contract by the Catalan club to prevent other suitors from luring him away.
Garcia will become the second player after player to join the Camp Nou outfit this summer after Sergio Aguero.
The Barcelona academy graduate made 12 Premier League appearances for Pep Guardiola's side, while he started just three of those games on their way to glory in the recently concluded season.
Since he moved to the Etihad Stadium in 2019, the youngster played 35 games for the Manchester club in all competitions and assisted just one goal in the process as reported by BBC Sport.
A statement from the Barcelona website reads:
"Barcelona and Eric Garcia have reached an agreement for the player to join the Club from 1 July one his contract with Manchester City is at an end."
He made most of his appearances for City in the 2019-20 season when some of their key players were sidelined by a series of injuries.
Garcia will officially become a Barcelona player on July 1 after his deal with Man City must have expired at the end of this new month.
He will definitely be a quality addition to Ronald Koeman's squad having already learnt the club's philosophy during his developmental stage.
He has featured seven times for Spain since his debut last September and has been included in Luis Enrique's Euro 2020 squad.

Legit.ng earlier reported that La Liga giants Barcelona have confirmed the sensational signing of Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero.
The Catalan club made the announcement on Monday, May 31, only days after Aguero's City lost the Champions League title to rivals Chelsea.
His deal with the Camp Nou outfit will take effect from July 1 when his current contract with Man City expires this month.
