Brendan Rodgers who is the manager of Premier League side Leicester City has explained that he had to substitute Wesley Fofana in the 62nd minutes during tie against West Brom because of Ramadan.

Muslims all over the world are currently undergoing the Ramadan fasting where they are not expected to eat from morning till evening for complete 30 days.

Wesley Fofana who as been in incredible form this season for Leicester City is a devoted Muslim and he is also taking part in the Ramadan fasting.

Jamie Vardy scored the first goal for Leicester City in the 23rd minute and it was Timothy Castagne who provided the assist for the Englishman.

Jonny Evans scored the second goal for the Foxes in the 26th minute before Jamie Vardy provided the assist which made Kelechi Iheanacho to net the third goal 10 minutes later.

Fofona was replaced in the 62nd minute with Marc Albrighton as Leicester City went on to win the encounter 3-0.

According to the report on Sportbible which is also on Daily Mail, Brendan Rodgers stated that he pulled off Fofona for him to break his fast.

"He's fine. He's a young player in the middle of Ramadan, so he's not eating during the day.
"It was just one where I thought if I could get him off then he could get some food into him on the bench, and just protect him a little bit.
"I've worked with lots of players with devotion to their faiths and for a lot of the guys it gives them strength.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was voted Man of the Match in the Foxes comeback win against Liverpool at the King Power Stadium.

The Reds produced a dominant display and went ahead in the 67th minute but Brendan Rodgers' men got their bearing and turned the game on its head.

Ndidi then balanced the game in the midfield as his side began to create chances that led to their stunning recovery.

Leicester then scored three goals in seven minutes through James Maddison, Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes to record a famous win.
