As he prepares for his return to the Nigeria Professional Football League action, Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa will only travel for away games by flight.

This was disclosed by the club chairman Surajo Yahaya via Sporting Life as he stated that such measure is to ensure the player’s safety.

Musa opened up on his decision to make return to the NPFL claiming that he rejoined Kano Pillars so as to help boost the image of the League.

They play away to Warri Wolves and Plateau United in away games on April 27 and May 2 respectively before an epic showdown at home to Enyimba three days later.

Musa might not be available for the Sai Masu Gida until their home game against the Peoples Elephant, given the statement from Yahaya, according to goal.com

he starred for Kano Pillars between 2009 and 2012 before moving to Europe to join VVV-Venlo on loan and later featured for CSKA Moscow, Leicester City and Al Nassr.

And his arrival at Pillars have received warm welcome from different quarters as well as his unveiling ceremony and his first training session with the club.

Musa who last played for Al Nassr at club level back in October was keeping up with the pace with the Sai Masu Gida in a local playing pitch in Kano.
