Premier League club Manchester United are still on the trail of Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele as the future of the player at Camp Nou remains uncertain.

The Red Devils who have dropped their pursuit of Jadon Sancho are now focusing on landing Dembele at the Theatre of Dreams.

The Frenchman has become the main target of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side who are already in the market shopping for a more experienced forward ahead of next season.

Dembele remains on the radar of the club and the latest reports have it that United have officially made contact with the player’s agent.

Much will depend on what career move the Frenchman chooses to take as his contract at the Nou Camp winds down, reports Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo via Mirror.

United are believed to have made moves in January as they held discussions with the player's agent.

Dembele's time in Spain has been hampered by injuries meaning he has never been able to fulfil his potential.

Barcelona signed the 23-year-old in 2017 following the departure of Neymar for £97m.

Meanwhile, for him to sanction Erling Haaland’s transfer to Spanish club Barcelona, agent Mino Raiola has demanded a staggering €20 million (£17 million) from the Catalan giants.

Amid speculation that the Borussia Dortmund striker could potentially move to La Liga, reports had it that the player’s father and agent were at Barcelona last week.

The 20-year-old is now the most sought-after striker across the European continent following his 49 goals and several assists since arriving from RB Salzburg.

Premier League clubs Manchester United, Manchester City as well as Chelsea are chasing the player who has been tipped to become a great player in future.
