Norwegian international Erling Haaland scored a wondrous goal helping his Borussia Dortmund humiliate rivals Shalke 4-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday, February 20.

The striker as well as partner Jadon Sancho stole the show as they continue their quest for qualifying for European competition next season.

Haaland has continued to receive all the accolades following his brace and an assist in their win over Spanish side Sevilla in the Champions League during the week.

Jadon Sancho had opened the scoring for his side after 42 minutes and became the youngest player in Bundesliga history to reach 35 goals.

The England international then provided an assist when he clipped in a ball to Haaland who then produced an incredible scissors' kick from around 12 yards out.

The Norwegian, who looks unstoppable at the moment, added another in the second half.

Dortmund went on to win 4-0 but they are still well off the pace in the Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, youngsters Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland seem to have taken over forcefully from Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The two players grabbed goals to inspire their respective clubs to triumph in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 encounters earlier this week.

Stats reveal that both stars have now recorded 28 UCL goals since the 2019-20 season compared to the 15 goals scored by Lionel Messi and his bitter rival Cristiano Ronaldo in the same period.

However, Legit.ng earlier reported that in 2009, Cristiano Ronaldo hit a 40-yard rocket into the far corner against FC Porto during his stint at Premier League club Manchester United and he still reveres that strike.

He hit the ball which gained a speed of 64.2mph helping Man United lead the Champions League quarter-final tie 3-2 and held on for the 80-plus minutes remaining of the second leg to qualify.

Ronaldo admitted that he was stunned as he described it as his best ever - with a vow to immediately get it on a DVD.
