Super Eagles winger Samuel Kalu was on target for Bordeaux in their 2-1 defeat to Olympique Lyonnais earlier this weekend.

The forward fired home a left-footed shot to restore parity for the visitors in the 55th minute after Karl Toko Ekambi had given the hosts the lead in the 32nd-minute of the meeting.

However, the game at the Groupama stadium took a different turn after Leo Dubois scored a late winner in the 92nd-minute and put the game beyond Jean-Louis Gasset's side.

Kalu lasted only 76 minutes in his 11th league appearance for the Jean-Louis Gasset's men before Nicolas de Preville took his place on the pitch for the remainder of the meeting.

The forward has been with the Ligue 1 outfit since the summer of 201fter completing an €8.50 million move from Belgian side Gent.

Kalu will hope to continue his impressive performance in front of goal when Bordeaux take on Lille in their next league game on February 3.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Henry Onyekuru got off to a flying start in his return to his former club Galatasary during the Turkish FA Cup round of 16 games with Gaziantep FK.

The Super Eagles striker completed a loan move from Ligue 1 side Monaco to revive his playing after failing to break into the first team.

The Nigerian international came in for Younes Belhanda at half-time and within nine minutes he got his name on the scoresheet.
