Thomas Tuchel's reign at Chelsea some incredible stats despite playing a goalless draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Blues under the German-born tactician completed a total of 820 passes - a feat no club has achieved this campaign.
Although, the London outfit was unable to create meaningful chances at the end of the game that failed to produce any goal.
The Stamford Bridge side completed a total of 433 passes in the opening half for the first time in any Premier League game since at least the 2003-04 campaign.
They have now overtaken Manchester City who previously held the record after recording 810 passes against West Brom the night before - a game which ended 5-0 in favour of the Citizens.
Meanwhile, Tuchel appears satisfied with the outcome of his first game in charge of the London club at Stamford Bridge.
But the duo of Rio Ferdinand and Peter Crouch believe there is plenty more work to be done at Cobham and that dominating possession won't win them games. Ferdinand told BT Sport after:
"He's going to have get out on the training pitch and really get his tactical board out to make sure his players understand that it's not all about possession."
The Manchester United legend also commended Mason Mount for his impact in the small amount of time he had on the pitch, and believes he should return to the starting XI.
"You've got to want to hurt and penetrate teams and there wasn't really any of that until Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount came on the pitch as they made them a little bit more threatening – you can't judge him on this game though.
Peter Crouch was quoted by Daily Mail saying:
"Chelsea came close at the end when Kai Havertz had a chance but that would have papered over the performance a little bit. Wolves came for the draw – they were so defensive.
"Chelsea just weren't quick enough moving it through the lines and Tuchel will quickly realise that Mason Mount has been one of their most creative players this year and I'm sure he'll quickly get back into the team.
"It wasn't good enough but having said that Callum Hudson-Odoi was a real big plus point tonight."
Chelsea have now won just two of their last nine Premier League matches, and Tuchel refused to be drawn on whether the Blues can contest this term's league title.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Thomas Tuchel took charge of his first official game since becoming Chelsea's new boss earlier this week in their goalless draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday, January 27.
The 47-year-old German-born tactician avoided a losing start at Stamford Bridge but what he could not do without was pronouncing a player’s name wrongly and it was caught live on TV.
A short video clip shows that the former Paris Saint Germain handler may need a little more time to get himself familiar with the players to call their names correctly.
