FIkayo Tomori may be sent on loan this transfer window according to Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

The 23-year-old defender fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Thiago Silva in the summer and has managed just one Premier League appearance this campaign.

While at other times, he could not even make the matchday squad and he has been linked with a move to top Premier League clubs.

Tomori was in action for about 10 minutes for the London club in their 4-0 win over Morecambe in the FA Cup over the weekend.

However, Lampard confirmed after the game that his decision was made because Tomori is set to leave the club on loan.

"The situation with Fikayo is open at the moment. There is a possibility he could be going on loan to get games somewhere else. That was part of my thinking of not starting him today.
“I gave him some minutes in the end but while we were looking at that I wanted to make sure it was the right thing for the club and for him and individually. "So that’s why he didn’t start.

Although the 42-year-old might have to reconsider his stance in sending his countryman out on loan due to the recent knee injury suffered by Christensen.

This could force Tomori to stay at the club according to London Football.

Online news website 90 mins report that Chelsea are scared of losing the 23-year-old, so agreeing to loan him out may be the only way to appease Tomori.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Fikayo Tomori will be looking to revive his career in the January transfer window as the defender could join Leeds United.

The 23-year-old has only managed to get 45 minutes of action in the entire Premier League season under Frank Lampard.

The arrival of Thiago Silva in the summer as a free agent has even further dented the chances of Tomiri getting playing time for the Blues.
