- Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move away from Liverpool
- The 28-year-old was said to have expressed anger at the club after the FC Midtjylland game
- Mohamed Aboutrika claims he spoke to his compatriot and it is clear the forward is unhappy at Anfield
Mohamed Salah seems unfazed with his current situation at Liverpool after sharing a picture with a broad smile for his over 41 million Instagram followers.
The 28-year-old Egyptian goal king has been suggested to be weighing an option to leave Anfield soon with Real Madrid and Barcelona tipped as his possible destinations.
He came off the bench last weekend to score a brace in the Reds 7-0 demolition of Crystal Palace and after the game, he was quoted expressing some kind of disappointment at the club.
The Merseyside outfit shunned him and handed Trent Alexander-Arnold their captaincy armband in their last Champions League group game against FC Midtjylland earlier this month.
This and a few other issues are reportedly making the two-time Premier League golden boot winner grow unhappy at Anfield in a statement credited to his countryman Mohamed Aboutrika.
The two-time Africa Cup of Nations winner was said to have spoken to beIN Sports and quoted by The Mirror on the matter:
"I called Salah about his situation at Liverpool and he is upset, but that would never affect his performance on the field.
"I know that Salah is not happy in Liverpool, he told me the reasons why he is not happy but they are secrets and I cannot talk about it in public. One of the reasons that made Salah angry was that he was not the captain against Midtjylland."
"If Salah was a player at Real Madrid or Barcelona, and playing at the same level as Liverpool, he would've won the Ballon d'Or, and it is normal for a Spanish newspaper to ask Salah about Real Madrid and Barcelona."
Legit.ng earlier reported that Egyptian football legend Mohamed Aboutrika has revealed that Mohamed Salah seems unhappy at Liverpool and could leave the club soon.
The 28-year-old winger was disappointed the club refused to hand him the captaincy armband during their Champions League match against Midtjylland earlier this month.
Instead, Jurgen Klopp decided to go with 22-year-old English star Trent Alexander-Arnold as the skipper for the encounter.
