Real Madrid are prepared to launch a bid for Liverpool midfielder Georgino Wijnaldum who is also being trailed by rivals Barcelona and Italian giants Inter Milan.

The Dutch star is already in the final year of his contract and reports from Spain have it that Madrid are now keen on signing the 30-year-old.

Spanish outlet Corriere Dello Sport via SunSport, are claiming that Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane is hoping to have another option in his midfield.

With Wijnaldum's experience, having won the Premier League as well as the Champions League, the French manager believes the Liverpool star will fit in.

Earlier, Barcelona were tipped to complete the signing of the player as manager Ronald Koeman was his boss when he worked as the manager of the Netherlands head coach.

However, a deal could not be agreed during the summer by both clubs and now the star is already in the final year of his contract.

But when asked about his next move during the just ended international break, Wijnaldum reiterated his commitment to Premier League club Liverpool.

The 70-cap midfielder said: “I can’t say anything about that (my future).

“Just ask Liverpool those questions. Don’t they answer?

“I cannot say anything about it, including whether or not there is talk of a new contract between me and Liverpool. Sorry.”

Also, Inter Milan CEO Guiseppe Marotta is said to have added the Liverpool player to his wish list, but no official approach has been made.

Team manager Jurgen Klopp hopes to keep the player at Anfield and the Reds have even offered him a pay 40 percent rise from £75,000 to £105,000 to stay at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea are desperate in cutting their salary scale and have contacted Italian club Napoli over the possibility of a loan deal for Italian midfielder Emerson Palmieri.

It was gathered that the 26-year-old star is set for a loan spell at the Naples outfit joining Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Emerson’s future at the Stamford Bridge club remains in doubt as he is yet to make an appearance for the Blues since the arrival of Ben Chilwell from Leicester last summer.
