- RB Leipzig vs PSG ended in a win for the home side who came from one goal down to beat their opponent in their Champions League outing
- Angel Di Maria gave the visitors the lead but Christopher Nkunku and Emil Forsberg's efforts turned the game around
- Meanwhile, 10 PSG stars were trapped in their hotel elevator barely 24 hours before the kick-off in Germany
No fewer than 10 Paris Saint Germain players were trapped in an elevator for about 50 minutes ahead of their Champions League clash against RB Leipzig.
Argentine forward Angel Di Maria, Marquinhos, Moise Kean, Presnel Kimpembe and Leandro Paredes were among the superstars stuck in the GrandHotel Handelshof lift.
Reports claim the players were rescued by the city's firefighters and led them to safety out of the lift on Tuesday, November 3 according to ESPN FC.
The publication further reports that Layvin Kurzawa shared the video of the incident on Instagram but it was later taken down after the club urged him to do so.
Thomas Tuchel's men however endured a 2-1 defeat to the German side despite taking the lead through Di Maria in the sixth minute.
They were also reduced to nine men before the final whistle was sounded after Idrissa Gueye and Kimpembe were sent off.
The outcome has now put PSG on the brink of not qualifying for the next round as they sit third on the table with three more matches to go in the group stages.
Manchester United sit atop the table with six points - the same as the Bundesliga side but goals difference separate the two sides.
PSG prosecuted the match without two of their key players Neymar and Kylian Mbappe due to injuries.
The French League side progressed ahead of the German side to the final of the competition last season but bowed to eventual winners Bayern Munich.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Kylian Mbappe appears doubtful for Paris Saint-Germain when they travel to Germany for their Champions League meeting against RB Leipzig this midweek.
The 21-year-old was suspected to have picked up a thigh injury over the weekend after missing his side's training session on Monday, November 2.
He was one of the goalscorers for PSG in their 3-0 victory over Nantes last weekend before his substitution in the 74th minute.
