Frank Lampard who is the manager of Premier League side Chelsea has confirmed that new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy will not be available for the coming match with Southampton.

The Senegalese goalkeeper got injured while on international duty and was sent back to Stamford Bridge for assessment on the injury he sustained.

Kepa Arrizabalaga's unimpressive performances in the Premier League made Chelsea chiefs to go for the signing of Mendy and has been impressive since he joined the Blues.

Lampard has now explained that the African goalkeeper is not yet fit and will miss the next Premier League game.

This means that Kepa Arrizabalaga or Willy Caballero will be behind the sticks for the Stamford Bridge landlords.

There were also injury worries ahead of the match for Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and N'Golo Kante, and Lampard also stated the latest with those players.

Frank Lampard explained below according to Chelsea correspondent.

"Mendy won’t be fit for the match tomorrow, we hope it won't be too long,"
"Thiago Silva after his trip is not ready to play because of the travelling. Chilwell is in the squad. He has got over some of the feeling he had in the squad.
"Pulisic and Ziyech are in the squad. Ziyech not it to start, but hopefully to get some minutes."

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Nigerian winger Victor Moses completed a season-long loan move to Russian topflight side Spartak Moscow.

The Red-Whites are currently second on the log with 21 points - same as Zenit Saint Petersburg after 10 rounds of games.

He embarked on his sixth temporary move away from the Stamford Bridge following his failure to return to Inter Milan, where he spent the second half of the last campaign.

The former Super Eagles attacker had equally enjoyed stints at Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham, Fenerbahce and the Serie A outfit.

Moses was part of Antonio Conte's squad that reached the final of last term's Europa League final but were denied a chance to lift the title by Sevilla.
