Victor Moses reportedly gave his widow’s mite to fans’ crowdfunding appeal in a bid to help save his former club Wigan Athletic supporters who are seeking funds to have stronger say.
The 29-year-old played for the club between 2010 and 2012 where he featured in 80 games for the Lactic, scoring 9 goals before he joined London club Chelsea.
According to the Wigan Athletic Supporters Club, the Nigerian is the latest footballer to make a donation to the cause which was set up by fans.

The Supporters Club in a tweet thanked Moses for his significant donation to its Save Our Club campaign.
They are seeking donations of up to £750,000 and Moses' contribution has taken the appeal to within £100,000 of its target.
“Wow – what can we say? When Victor got in touch to say he wanted to help by donating such a substantial amount, I just couldn’t believe what I was hearing – it’s such an incredible gesture,” Caroline Molyneux, chair of the Wigan Athletic Supporters’ Club said.
“Victor wanted to make the donation and remain anonymous but we simply had to make sure he gets the recognition he deserves.
"Victor’s contribution has taken us past £650,000 and to within £100,000 of our next target of £750,000."
