Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has channeled his free time during this coronavirus pandemic season to naming his ultimate XI according to the Mirror.

The squad consists of mostly players he has shared the dressing room with at the Camp Nou with Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandes highlighting the list.

Since he was promoted to the first team about 15 years ago, the Argentine icon has won 34 titles including four Champions League and 10 La Liga titles.

And he could not have achieved all that without the help of some exceptional players he has played with from the goal post to attack.

Neymar spent just four years at the Camp Nou but those periods were electrifying, with Messi teaming up with the Brazilian alongside Luis Suarez to demystify defenders' confidence.

However, here's Messi's ultimate teammates' XI according to SunSport with some notable players missing in action.

Goalkeeper: Victor Valdes

The Spaniard made 353 appearances alongside the 32-year-old before departing the club in 2014 after 12 years.

They both conquered Europe winning silverware across competitions during their stay together at the Catalan club.

Right-back: Dani Alves

The Brazilian legend featured in 349 matches in all competitions with the forward and their collaborations most times won their crucial matches.

Alves spent eight years with the Blaugrana and most of them earned 23 major titles including three Champions Leagues and three FIFA Club World Cups.

Center-back: Gerard Pique made over 470 appearances with Messi and they have equally won silverware together.

Centre-back: Javier Mascherano

Played with Messi at both club and national team level - making a total of 413 appearances in the process.

Left-back: Jordi Alba

The Spaniard joined Barcelona in 2012 and he became one of Messi's special players as having provided more assists for the Argentine in the 289 games they have played together.

Defensive midfield: Sergio Busquets - Appearances alongside Messi: 512

Midfield: Xavi Hernandez - Appearances alongside Messi: 399

Midfield: Andres Iniesta appeared in 489 games with the 32-year-old before leaving the club for Japanese topflight side.

The pair operated on the same wavelength for a long period of time. Iniesta also had a hand in a number of Messi's goals.

Forward: Pedro - Appearances alongside Messi: 270

Forward: Luis Suarez - Appearances alongside Messi: 245

Both stars have been superb partners since 2014 when the Uruguayan joined Barca from Liverpool and the pair have struck up a great friendship on and off the pitch.

Meanwhile, the duo of David Villa and Cesc Fabregas were excluded from Lionel Messi's Ultimate eleven.

The 43-year-old Brazilian born Spanish midfielder spent over a decade with the Yellow Submarine where he scored 33 and 16 assists in 356 appearances in all competitions.
