Arsenal launch £97m triple transfer swoop for Nunes, Soler, Roca

- Arsenal are making a massive move for three rising stars

- Nunez, Soler and Roca could be playing at the Emirates next season

- Mikel Arteta is reportedly planning to bolster his defence and midfield

The Gunners are looking to fortify their defence and midfield by making a triple transfer move for Spaniards Unai Nunez, Carlos Soler and Marc Roca, according to reports from SunSport.

Arteta is said to be using his influence and knowledge of Spanish football to bring the three new players to the Emirates for about £97million.

Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette lead Arsenal attack and now the club wants to improve their midfield and defence in a bid to comeback stronger ahead of next season.

It was gathered that Arteta has now included their trio in his summer transfer wish list as the rising La Liga stars all played in the 2019 Under-21 European Championships final.

Athletic Bilbao defender Unai Nunez has been linked with other top clubs including Manchester City, Bayern Munich, West Ham and Inter Milan.

However latest reports have it that Arsenal are now the leading contender for the 23-year-old who is said to be worth around £26m from the Basque side.

There are growing concerns about Shkodran Mustafi, David Luiz, Bob Holding and Sokratis despite having Calum Chambers in the team who has spent so much time on the bench.

Pablo Mari was brought in on loan and it is believed that the move will become permanent this summer as Willian Saliba will return from his season at former club Saint-Etienne.

Sporting director Markus Krosche said: "This is a far-reaching decision for a player. He should take his time with that.

"He has to be clear about exactly what he is going to do, how he sees his future.

"Maybe that has changed a bit as a result of the new situation (coronavirus)."

Arsenal are also being linked with Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler who can also play across the midfield. He is capable of becoming Arsenal’s no.10 playing in the central midfield or on the left.

Meanwhile, earlier reported that Arsenal are reportedly not ruling out a move for Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard once the suspended 2019/20 season come comes to an end.

Jesse Lingard has not been having it rosy this season at Manchester United with the player failing to score a Premier League goal in a year which has made fans call for him to be sold.

The Gunners are reported to be looking for a replacement for Dani Ceballos who has been playing for the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid.
