The catastrophic match was described by the coach as historic which portrays his career in a very bad light. Luiz made it known how surprised and sad he felt over the match that made Thomas Mueller, Miroslav Klose, Sami Khedira, Toni Kroos, Andre Schuerrle and the entire German players to score a whooping 7 against the lone Oscar 'consolation' goal.
The 65-year-old coach revealed that he was aware of the risk involved in coach the samba boys before taking up the job but he would still give life another shot as it goes on.
The amazing, 'no-words-to-describe' match showed how emotional the Brazilians can be, after a jaw-dropping first half. The coach however intimated the Brazilians that the players gave their all, it was just unfortunate that the players' all was not enough to conquer the highly skilled Germans. Although he did not give any hint as to whether he intended to stay on as Brazil coach after the tournament, Luiz accepting the defeat, said: “Please excuse us for this mistake. We are sorry we could not get to the final and we will honour the team in the third-place playoff in Brasilia on Saturday.

“Who is the one responsible? I am. This catastrophic result can be shared with the whole group because that is what my players say and want, but I am the one who chooses the tactics, the lineup, so the person responsible for the result is me", the coach regrettably said. It could be recalled that Barcelona's forward Neymar was ruled out of further participation in the World Cup for his country, Brazil, at the FIFA 2014 World Cup which many think may have been the cause of the outrageous defeat.
