Ernesto Valverde has shown a great gesture to his immediate past employers after refusing to demand for full pay off of his money despite having one-and-a-half year remaining on his deal.
The 55-year-old Spaniard was shown the exit doors by Barcelona despite still topping the La Liga standings as the Super Cup defeat against Atletico Madrid masterminded his departure.
He replaced Luis Enrique in June 2017 thereby winning two League titles, a Copa del Rey and a Spanish Super Cup at the Nou Camp.
Valverde was supposed to demand compensation from Barcelona chiefs after being sacked, but he decided to leave on a high note without dragging issues with the Catalans.
Although, Valverde will still receive severance pay, but it won’t be the full salary that he would have received had he seen out his contract at the Nou Camp.

Conte showed lots of promises in his debut season, raising the bar high by winning the Premier League title. His romance with the Blues was, however, truncated after clashing with top members of club squad.
