‘I Don’t Have A Twitter Account’ – Victor Ikpeba Denies Clash With Osaze Odemwingie

Victor Ikpeba, a football analyst and former Super Eagles forward says he never had a clash with West Brom striker Osaze Odemwingie, on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Just last month, Odemwingie while venting his anger (on Twitter) at Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi and Nigerian Football Association members over his exclusion from the Africa Cup of Nations squad, also took swipes at Ikpeba who said on SuperSport that the Eagles striker won’t be missed.

Things got nasty when a Twitter account with the name Ikpeba Official began to throw words at Odemwingie who immediately responded with his own batch of insults. Although the handle is a parody account, many believed it was actually Ikpeba’s official Twitter page.

But Ikpeba denies having a Twitter account or engaging in a clash with Odemwingie on the social network site.

The said Twitter account’s bio reads: Ex-Footballer, Verbal Pundit, SuperSport Soccer Analyst, Olympic Gold Medalist. The Prince Of Monaco! *Parody*.

‘My major source of concern is that a person or some persons opened a Twitter account with my picture and name. The Twitter account name is Ikpeba Official. This person or persons have been using this Ikpeba Official account in exchanging words with the player in question on Twitter’, Ikpeba said in a statement.

‘But I make bold to state categorically here that I don’t have a Twitter account neither have I exchanged words with anybody on the social network site’, he added.
