And Solskjaer who has been already taken off the wheel congratulated the Spanish champions after the game, saying Barcelona are on a level United "have to aspire to".
He said: “The quality of their finishing was absolutely outstanding.
“We started well. In the first 15 mins we felt we've got something here and then in four mins they scored two goals.
“That is the Barcelona team here, that's the level we have to aspire to be like Barcelona
“We can get there but we have loads of work to do.
“If we want to get back to United's true traditions and level, we know we have to challenge the Barcelona's.
“I have to say they were a couple of levels above today and at Old Trafford."
