Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid top of the table clash in Cam Nou ended 2-0 in favour of the home team as Enersto Valverde's side edge closer to the La liga title
The first real chance of the half fell to Barcelona in the 14th minute after a perfect through ball Lionel Messi found Jordi Alba whose lovely first touch kept him face to face with Jan Oblak.

The tempo of the game slowed down after the incident but Messi rifled in a left-foot shot which went straight into the hands of Oblak just before half time.
Diego Simeone's men came out more determined and playing with ten players against a well-organized Barca side.

Another piece of superb goalkeeping from Oblak as he made two save in quick succession from Messi shot and Malcom rebound in the 68th minute.
Atletico should have gone ahead in the 75th minute as Rodri and Joe Gimenez got in the way of each other from a Antoine Griezmann's free-kick.
And the moment of the match came in the 85th minute as Suarez opens up his body in front of the 18-yard box and curls the ball beyond Oblak to make it 1-0.

A minute later, Messi made it 2-0 after beating the offside trap and runs into the box with a lucky rebound from Gimenez who had a little contact with the ball before driving a ow shot into the net.
The match ended 2-0 to Barcelona as they extended their lead at the top of La Liga with 11 points with seven games to play.
