Manchester United's security chief Riyaz Patel has been axed after a surprise row with a fan.

According to Mirror citing The Mail, the operations manager Riyaz Patel was sent packing by Controlled Solutions Group (CSG), the firm in charge of Manchester United's security since 2012.

The 43-year-old Patel was sacked after a probe following the use of a foul language at a fan during a row at Old Trafford car park.

The incident, which allegedly occurred during Man United matchday, saw the fan use his phone to capture all that happened.

Interestingly, Patel, who was sentenced for theft back in 2002, had over 1,000 stewards under his role with Controlled Solutions Group (CSG).

Patel main task at United is to provide security for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and other squad members.

His job saw him always around the players, their dressing rooms and departure. During Sir Alex Ferguson's reign at Theater of Dreams, Patel was also spotted in his company

Patel’s sack is the latest row at United, with fans sleeping inside the stadium last year.

The Red Devils fixture with Bournemouth in 2016 was cancelled after a dummy bomb was discovered at the stadium.

Man United's next home tie is the Champions League quarter-final cracker against Barcelona.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plan to undertake a major surgery on his current squad has suffered a major blow after reportedly failing to agree with the board on Manchester United's transfer budget.
