The forward went on to produce a magnificent performance, assisting Chelsea's opening goal scored by Olivier Giroud.

However, the Englishman missed a golden chance to get his own name on the score sheet in the first half, taking a massive swing to miss Eden Hazard's deflected cross.

The miss did not go down well with Sarri, with the Italian tactician revealing he joked with Hudson-Odoi in the dressing room on the fluffed chance.

"I told him that he missed a very easy goal. He has to stay with his feet on the floor. He’s a good boy," Sarri was quoted saying.
"He can risk thinking that he is a player at 100 per cent, but it’s impossible to be at the top when you are 18. ‘He can improve, and I want him to improve," he added.

Thankfully for the 18-year-old, Hazard and Loftus-Cheek bagged a goal apiece in the second half to gift the London side a 3-0 win.

The victory saw them move to fifth on the Premier League standings as rivals Manchester United dropped to sixth.

Maurizio Sarri is currently under fire at Stamford Bridge due to unimpressive performance this season which has led to criticism from the Blues' supporters.

But the Italian football tactician has pleaded for the time to finally work with his players and the results will come.
