Liverpool fan describes Salah's goal to a blind supporter

- Mo Salah scored Liverpool's solitary goal that sent them to the last 16 of the Champions League

- However, one visually-impaired supporter could not overly comprehend what the heroic goal looked like

- His cousin took up the job to explain it to him how the Egyptian scored

Amid the hullabaloo and fuss that surrounded Mohamed Salah's heroic goal against Napoli at Anfield that sent Liverpool to the last 16 of the Champions League, one visually-impaired supporter identified as Mike Kearny could not comprehend what it looked like.

As such, his cousin, who is a Liverpool fan took up the duty to explain the moment to Kearny in a heartwarming fashion.

As the cameras panned around Anfield after Salah's effort, the Liverpool fan could be seen whispering to Kearny in an attempt to describe the Egyptian forward's goal.

According to a SPORTbible report, Kearney has attended every Liverpool home match for around five or six years now.

Fascinatingly, the 26-year-old has a special way of interpreting key moments, disclosing that he can only see bits of moments up close.

"I'm registered blind I have got Retinitis Pigmentosa, it's a degenerative condition. It's got worse as I've got older, thankfully it's a bit more stable now but it's not the best," he told SPORTbible.

"My cousin was explaining to me who scored. To be honest it's just a normal experience of football for me. I join in with the singing and shouting and celebrate like anybody else does. I can see bits of the game up close. But what I can't see clearly isn't hard to work out what's going on," he added.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported Liverpool suffered another injury blow with Joel Matip ruled out of action for six weeks after suffering a broken collarbone.

According to UK Daily Mail report, the Cameroon international is to undergo surgery following a collision with Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly in the closing moments of the Reds 1-0 on Tuesday, and will now miss the busy festive period.

The centre back, who joins the likes of Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez on the sidelines, could miss as many as 10 games before returning to action.
