As the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) resumes, photos of his lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor arriving at the court has emerged.

Ejiofor arrived in the company of an elder statesman, former Anambra state governor, Chukwuemeka Ezeife.

They both arrived the court premises at 9.10 am, The Nation Newspaper reports.

Recall that the federal has amended its charges against the IPOB leader.

Meanwhile, as the trial of Kanu is underway, lawyers and journalists alike have been barred from entering the court premises and courtroom of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Journalists and lawyers were stopped by security operatives littered at the entrance of the ministry of justice building.

They asked the journalists to stay away as only those accredited would be allowed into the court premises and further into the courtroom where the trial of the IPOB leader would take place.

Meanwhile, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has sought an order of a Federal High Court, Abuja to grant him access to visit Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who is currently at the Department of State Services (DSS) detention.

Speaking to journalists in front of the court after filing the application, Ubah said he made the move in order to find a solution to the security crisis in the southeast region.

Ubah, 50, is the candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election and the current senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
